Cali is the daughter of Valerie and Jeff Bunting, favorite clients who I first met shooting their engagement session, then wedding.  It is great fun to see kids of clients growing up.  Here’s Cali, for her first Christmas pics and now, all ready for Easter, complete with blonde, naturally curly hair!  :)

And I loved this kid kiss moment.

And a picture of Jeff and Valerie from their engagement session.

With the arrival of spring, my shooting season has officially started.  Years past, I’m ashamed to admit, I’ve not found this the most beautiful time for our area.  But, like so many other things, I’ve found that with a slight change of perspective, everything looks different.  In my case, I needed to look up.  The leaves may not be on the trees, but the sky is beautiful.  And the dry grasses may be battered and faded, but they still have potential.  It’s all a matter of how you look at things.  And how you light them.

Last week, I had the great pleasure to work with two beautiful Clay City seniors, Kelsea and Victoria.  We shot in studio during their sessions and then we ventured outside.   Here are a couple of my favorite images both from the same location, different days.

Here are some of the portraits from John and Laura’s wedding.  Sam had scouted out some cool locations on the EIU campus to do some bride and groom together portraits.

Laura has the most amazing eyes.  I love them!

I had the great pleasure of second shooting with Samantha Harnack last weekend as part of our exchange for services, so that she’ll help me on one of my upcoming weddings.  Yay!

John and Laura are a wonderful couple, and I really enjoyed their wedding.  I’ll add more images later, but for now wanted to post some sneak peak images, playing in this post with how much I could show of their wedding day showing only their hands and not their faces, charming and lovely as they are.  That and the cake that I went a little crazy over.  Lol.
